Forest Protection: Most of the world's forests are now under some form of protection, with countless reserves and parks helping to preserve biodiversity. However, rainforests remain at risk, and the need for conservation will only grow in the coming decades. By 2040, only 10% of rainforests may remain unprotected.

Forest Growth: Forests cover a large part of the Earth and continue to expand thanks to global reforestation efforts. Trees are being planted everywhere, helping restore ecosystems and combat climate change. Millions of hectares are added yearly, with 2,400 trees planted every minute.
Biodiversity Recovery: The IUCN Red List now records 954 endangered species, far fewer than in previous years, showing progress in conservation. Many animals and plants that were once at high risk are now thriving thanks to protected habitats and global efforts, with over 800 previously endangered species now fully safeguarded.

Global Investment in Protection: Around $500 billion a year is being invested worldwide to protect biodiversity. Success stories like the Amazon Leopard, whose population rose from 200 to 1,700 between 2030 and 2049, and the Giant Panda, projected to surpass 3,500 individuals by 2060, highlight the tangible impact of these efforts.
Clean Water Progress: Today, 89% of the world's surface water is fit for consumption. Improved wastewater treatment and stricter industrial regulations have reduced pollution dramatically, cutting wastewater entering rivers from 2 billion litres to just 50 million litres.

Air Quality Improvement: Air pollution now affects fewer than 1 in 10 people globally, removing it as a leading risk factor for disease. Deaths from pollution have dropped significantly compared to the early 21st century, thanks to reductions in vehicle emissions and burning, making major countries far safer and healthier places to live.
Climate Stabilization: Since 2029, the Earth's temperature has remained stable, with the global average for the last decade 0.93°C lower than levels recorded between 2015–2025. This stability reflects massive global investments of $7 trillion used to fund sustainable measures.

Greenhouse Gas Reduction: Greenhouse gas emissions have fallen by 30.4% since 2024, thanks to a 24.6% drop in fossil fuel production and improved waste management. Methane emissions, for example, have been halved from 16% in 2022 to 8.3%, while carbon dioxide from industry now makes up 44% of total emissions.
